Operations Lead - Data

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the field collection crew by recruiting, onboarding, and retaining regional contractors
• Train collectors on protocols, tools, and quality standards
• Manage day-to-day operations including scheduling, logistics, and seasonal ramp-ups
• Define and document protocols for capturing pasture, forage, and animal data
• Evaluate and roll out new collection techniques and technologies
• Pressure-test protocols through regular field visits
• Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and quality for machine learning use
• Build feedback loops between collectors and the engineering team
• Partner with machine learning teams to translate model needs into executable collection plans

Requirements

• Demonstrated ownership of an end-to-end data or annotation operation
• Experience managing quality systems and delivery against schedules
• Ability to translate ambiguous engineering needs into precise operational specifications
• Capability to move with high urgency
• Strong service mindset and passion for supporting cross-functional teams
