Skalar is building the tax firm of the future. We are redefining tax consulting through high automation, AI support, and digital interfaces, moving away from manual processes to a proactive, tech-driven experience. Our team consists of over 50% software developers working alongside tax experts to build custom tools that solve real-world problems.

Responsibilities

• Support operative tax consulting including bookkeeping, document entry, and account reconciliation using DATEV.
• Assist in preparing tax returns and preliminary tax filings (income tax, business taxes).
• Test and document internal tools and workflows to improve automation and process efficiency.
• Manage client communication regarding document requests and maintain master data.

Requirements

• Ongoing studies with a focus on taxation or economics.
• Basic understanding of accounting and German tax law.
• Proficiency in Excel and business-level German.

Preferred Qualifications

• Initial experience with DATEV.
• High affinity for digital tools and automation (Python, APIs, or No-Code).
• Interest in process optimization and digitalization.
