Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the technical performance of assigned chemical manufacturing processes to ensure safe and compliant daily operations.
• Lead continuous improvement activities focused on HSE, quality, manufacturing excellence, and throughput.
• Manage technical aspects of production, including troubleshooting process deviations and defining performance metrics.
• Execute incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for process safety and quality events.
• Lead compliance with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Program (RMP) activities, including PHA, MOC, and PSSR.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Process Safety Information (PSI).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Engineering, and HSE to achieve site objectives.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with batch chemical processes.
• Proficiency with software such as SAP, AVEVA PI system, JMP, Minitab, Aspen Plus, CHEMCAD, or Emerson DeltaV.
• Experience applying Six Sigma, Lean, or other manufacturing excellence techniques.
