Operations Engineer (Mechanical)

Responsibilities

• Sustain existing manufacturing lines and ensure processes meet performance targets by reducing costs and minimizing downtime
• Improve manufacturing processes by leveraging lean principles, good manufacturing practices, and six sigma methodologies
• Lead engineering projects from inception to completion, tracking progress and managing multiple assignments
• Design, build, or purchase fixtures, equipment, and tools to increase efficiency, ergonomics, safety, and quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer new products into production and provide design recommendations
• Conduct equipment and process validations, qualifications, and verifications
• Analyze manufacturing and assembly issues to identify and implement effective solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred)
• 5+ years of work experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in CAD software
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple project deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation technologies
• Knowledge of metal stamping and tool & die processes
• Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, SPC, or TPM
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D and SAP
