About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Digital Media Commons (DMC), aligning services and investments with University priorities and emerging technology trends.
  • Manage DMC staff and operations, including supervising a diverse team of professional staff and student workers.
  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations for the 250,000-square-foot Duderstadt Center, ensuring accessibility and efficient administration of spaces.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, oversee expenditures, and implement internal financial controls.
  • Coordinate building governance by supporting the Executive Advisory Group and partnering with North Campus schools, colleges, and the Provost's Office.
  • Drive organizational development and foster multidisciplinary partnerships across the university and with external industry partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in media, communication, performance technology, educational technology, fine arts, business administration, or higher education administration.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional leadership experience in an academic or administrative setting.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, organizational development, and leading innovation.
  • Extensive experience supervising professional staff and managing cross-functional teams in complex environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budget development, financial management, and resource allocation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of successful stakeholder engagement.
