Operations Director

Responsibilities

• Oversee the visual direction of newscasts and provide creative input to producers and production crews
• Ensure clean technical execution of the newscast look
• Call and punch newscasts
• Manage technical execution of linear live and live-to-tape local news and programming
• Direct, instruct, and cue talent and production crew members
• Operate graphic and clip playback servers, automated audio setups, and robotic camera control systems

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in studio production and/or directing at a commercial television station
• Experience operating broadcast equipment including switchers, audio boards, and cameras
• Ability to handle the stress and pressure of time-sensitive newscast production
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ENPS, VIZ RT graphics, or Bitcentral video playback
• Bilingual skills
• Related military experience
