About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for procurement and production planning, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Manage MRP and raw material ordering as the Plant Buyer.
- Perform administrative tasks including creating/modifying purchase orders and maintaining the Documented Work Process (DWP).
- Track production efficiency metrics, prepare reports, and ensure accurate data entry.
- Maintain vendor relationships and ensure compliance with USEPA and EPRCA reporting.
- Update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and support year-end inventory processes.
- Conduct cycle counting and monitor inventory levels for high-moving products.
- Investigate production variances and enter adjustments in SAP.
- Provide backup support for the Director of Manufacturing and assist with warehouse functions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, procurement, or inventory management.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing batch processes and handling hazardous liquid chemicals.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, including HAZMAT, CAPA, lock-out/tag-out, and confined space.
- Familiarity with SOP, GMP, and chemical procurement standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree, particularly in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
- Solid understanding of complex chemical processes.
