Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track all active shipments to ensure on-time delivery and accurate status updates
• Book and post next day freight and any necessary recoveries
• Manage customer distribution communications
• Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers, drivers, and customers during after-hours operations
• Proactively identify and resolve transit issues or delays
• Update internal systems with real-time shipment details and status changes
• Collaborate with the day operations team for seamless information handoffs
• Maintain accurate records of all communications and issue resolutions
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements

Requirements

• Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in a demanding environment
• Perfect attendance is required
• Ability to learn industry-specific software
• Ability to work after-hours and adapt to changing priorities
