Operations Co-op

Responsibilities

• Work with Operations and Continuous Improvement teams to create machine autonomous maintenance standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Create and maintain technical training materials and documentation for factory processes
• Provide support to the Logistics team through various transactional and operational activities
• Support waste elimination and factory loss reduction using Lean and continuous improvement methodologies
• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data to support root cause analysis and problem solving
• Develop troubleshooting capabilities on process and packaging equipment
• Create and establish technical standards and standardized work to ensure process stability

Requirements

• 3rd or 4th year Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering Student
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to contribute to a team-oriented environment
• Safety and quality minded
• Ability to work onsite at the Hellmanns factory in Rexdale, Ontario
• Ability to work full-time (Monday to Friday)

Preferred Qualifications

• Related experience in a technical or manufacturing environment is an asset
