Responsibilities

  • Lead the NOC team across Auckland and Christchurch, owning hiring, onboarding, performance management, and team structure
  • Design and implement the NOC’s performance measurement framework, including KPIs and service standards
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for NOC delivery against NZTA contractual obligations
  • Develop and manage the NOC function’s budget, including resource forecasting and cost analysis
  • Proactively diagnose and resolve culture, conduct, and performance issues
  • Embed a genuine safety culture and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 27001, and ISO 14001

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading teams with a track record of building high-performing teams
  • Proven success leading geographically distributed teams across multiple sites
  • Hands-on experience managing end-to-end performance and disciplinary processes
  • Experience representing a function in external client or stakeholder relationships and SLA governance
  • Proficiency in budget management and resource planning
  • Ability to travel regularly between Auckland and Christchurch and availability for after-hours escalations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a NOC, operations centre, or 24/7 technology-enabled environment
  • Familiarity with regulated operational environments such as road safety, transport, or infrastructure
  • Understanding of ITIL or equivalent service management frameworks
