Operations Associate, Financial Crimes (AML Investigations)

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end AML investigations specializing in cryptocurrency, stablecoins, and fiat on/off-ramps
• Utilize blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic to trace transaction flows on distributed ledgers
• Perform thorough open-source intelligence (OSINT) and public records research to identify illicit financial networks
• Draft and file high-quality, defensible Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs)
• Review and disposition high-risk transaction monitoring alerts related to crypto-specific financial crime typologies
• Document investigative rationales and recommendations to ensure full compliance and audit readiness

Requirements

• 2+ years of analytical or investigative experience in financial crimes, AML, risk, or fraud
• 2+ years of experience specifically focused on crypto/blockchain financial crime
• Demonstrated proficiency with blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic)
• Proven ability to draft and file high-quality SARs/STRs based on complex investigations
• Strong research and analytical skills with a focus on OSINT methodologies
• Strong English written and verbal communication capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• ACAMS or similar professional certification
• Previous experience in a Compliance function within a FinTech or Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP)
• Knowledge of global stablecoin regulatory frameworks
