Operations and Maintenance Technician III

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and operation of plant equipment under limited supervision
• Operate control rooms and oversee the work of contract personnel when required
• Observe, record, and evaluate data while maintaining operational and maintenance logs
• Read blueprints, instruction manuals, and technical documents for troubleshooting and repair
• Ensure adequate information turnover between shifts to maintain continuity of service
• Act upon emergency procedures during non-routine situations to maintain safety
• Maintain high standards of safety, environmental compliance, and housekeeping

Requirements

• High School or Vocational School education
• At least four years of experience in power plant maintenance or operations (or equivalent military/educational experience)
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass the EEI TECH qualification test
• Ability to obtain TWIC credentials within six months of hire
• Physical ability to climb, crawl, stoop, reach, and perform heavy lifting

Preferred Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of utility or industrial facility materials and practices
• Strong planning, organizing, and decision-making skills
