Operations and Facilities Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operations and maintenance of athletic facilities, including setup and breakdown for practices and competitions
• Support facility readiness by ensuring venues are clean, safe, and prepared for use
• Support game day operations for home athletic events, including field/court preparation and operational logistics
• Assist with event setup and breakdown, including equipment, signage, tables, and chairs
• Monitor facility usage and report maintenance or operational issues
• Support inventory management by tracking and organizing athletic equipment and supplies
• Assist with event staffing, crowd management, and customer service during athletic events
• Collaborate with ticketing, marketing, and external relations staff to ensure professional event execution
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, work orders, facility logs, and operational reports

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or graduate student
• Major in sport management, business, facility management, or a related field
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and prolonged standing
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and select holidays based on athletic schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in athletic operations, facilities management, or event operations
• Experience working in athletics, facilities, or event management
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
