Operations and Electrical Technician III

Responsibilities

• Ensure Solar Field and BESS systems are fully available and operating according to dispatch requirements
• Perform complex technical service and support duties, including plant rounds, inspections, and scheduled maintenance
• Manage site safety protocols, including issuing permits for hot work, confined space, and energized electrical work
• Execute Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and manage de-energizing/re-energizing of equipment from multiple AC/DC sources
• Author, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures, Emergency Response Guides, and EHS policies
• Maintain site 125VDC backup batteries, chargers, and emergency generators
• Resolve complex technical issues and provide on-the-job skills training to other team members
• Manage contractors and maintain accurate plant logbooks and electrical drawings

Requirements

• High School Diploma, technical/vocational school degree, military service, or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrument, electrical, and control system applications
• Experience with DCS programming and configuration
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics
• Valid state driver’s license
