Operations Analyst

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes, ensuring accurate booking and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Independently identify and resolve trade breaks across FX, OTC, Futures, Equities, and Fixed Income products.
• Perform reconciliations with FCMs, Prime Brokers, and Custodians.
• Monitor, allocate, and confirm trades using affirmation platforms including MarkitWire/MTM, Tradeserve, ICE Link, CTM, and Traiana.
• Coordinate FX exposures with the Treasury team and manage fund cash balances.
• Execute swap netting at LCH and ICE to compress interest rate and credit default swaps.
• Manage local market settlements and corporate action events, specifically across African markets.
• Liaise with counterparties, fund administrators, and custodians on settlement matters.
• Drive process improvements and contribute to the strengthening of operational control frameworks.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in hedge fund operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments including bonds, futures, FX, and derivatives (specifically interest rate swaps and credit default swaps).
• Proficiency with affirmation platforms such as Traiana, CTM, MTM, ICE Link, and Tradeserve.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong risk and control mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VBA or programming to automate workflows.
• Experience managing settlements and corporate actions in emerging markets.
