Operations Analyst II

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex organizational problems to improve coordination of people, materials, equipment, and financial resources
• Apply mathematical, scientific, and engineering analytical methods to support decision-making
• Support organizational strategy, planning, forecasting, and resource allocation
• Evaluate and improve performance measurement, scheduling, and operational efficiencies
• Design and assess production facilities, systems, and processes
• Optimize supply chain management, pricing, transportation, and distribution systems
• Collect and analyze large, complex datasets using simulation, linear/nonlinear programming, and stochastic-process models
• Develop mathematical models to represent real-world systems and perform "what-if" analyses

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
• 7 years of professional experience in operations research
• Demonstrated knowledge of operations analysis applied to tactical development and undersea warfare
• Submarine qualified on an operational submarine
• Active Secret security clearance
• Ability to undergo periodic underway periods on submarines or surface ships
