Operations Analyst

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to define and operationalize a measurement framework for operational efficiency and quality
• Standardize inputs and outputs across models to create continuity between forecasting, scheduling, and cost
• Extend, tune, and maintain discrete-event simulations to drive factory performance and forecast demand
• Prototype parameterized data models, optimization tools, dashboards, and simulation models
• Collaborate with factory operations and engineering to identify tool gaps and drive implementations
• Work with data teams to connect factory sensors, equipment, MES, and ERP systems
• Drive projects from discovery and requirement definition through to formal implementation and ROI justification
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis on process efficiency and complex scenarios to inform staffing and investment decisions
• Clean, validate, and prepare data for analysis and simulation
• Document systems, pipelines, and assumptions to enable scaling

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Operations Research, or related field
• Demonstrated experience in data analytics or process improvement
• Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, data pipelines, APIs)
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational data modeling
• Experience in front-end HTML development and web hosting
• Ability to perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis and basic statistics
• Knowledge of manufacturing terminology (cycle time, yield, throughput)
• Competency with data visualization tools like Power BI
• Competency with UI/workflow visualization tools (Figma, Illustrator, Visio)
• Strong experience with Microsoft Suite, Atlassian Suite, and Project Management Software
• Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to lawfully access information subject to US export controls

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a start-up or high-growth environment
• Experience interfacing with engineering and manufacturing groups
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and CAD
• Familiarity with basic financial concepts and modeling
• Familiarity with MES/ERP/SCADA systems (Splunk, InfluxDB, OPC-UA)
• Familiarity with operations research/optimization methods (OR Tools, Optuna)
• Familiarity with statistical/machine-learning fundamentals and simulation frameworks (SimPy, AnyLogic)
