Operational Technology (OT) Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for OT systems and cyber security management across the full lifecycle
• Support configuration control and system management, including tools, data, and repositories
• Ensure OT security, regulatory compliance, and industrial safety are embedded in all activities
• Act as a point of contact for site OT security matters, supporting PCSS practitioners and Blue Team activities
• Maintain and support key OT documentation including plant network diagrams, asset registers, and security case documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback and supporting team development

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a closely related technical discipline, or equivalent military experience
• Understanding of the lifecycle of OT / I&C systems (configuration control, security, in-service management)
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Eligibility for UK security clearance (BPSS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of experience in Operational Technology (OT) systems
• Experience with industrial control / I&C systems
• Knowledge of IEC 62443, NIST Cyber Security Framework, or IEC 61508
• Experience in configuration management or cyber security
• Knowledge of system reliability, fault tolerance, and through-life asset management
