About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform operational planning studies including load flow, short circuit, transient, and dynamic stability assessments
- Update and validate Network Models for operational studies
- Analyze network performance and recommend optimization plans for system stability and security
- Analyze the impact of critical outages, power exchanges, and future plans on system reliability
- Conduct post-analysis of major incidents through simulation to prevent future occurrences
- Calculate net transfer capacities (NTC) through system studies
- Review project Scopes of Work, technical specifications, and consultant reports
- Assist in preparing Summer and Winter demand requirement reports and contingency plans
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- 7 years of relevant experience in power system operation and studies
- Experience in power transmission and network operations
- Proficiency with PSS/E software tools
- Strong skills in planning, organization, and technical report writing
