Operational Risk Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the rollout and implementation of a best-in-class operational risk framework, including risk and control assessments and incident management.
• Partner with first-line teams (operations, product, and engineering) to embed risk practices into new products and features.
• Lead the management of risk incidents, ensuring a seamless feedback loop from event to control improvement.
• Develop and implement risk policies, procedures, key risk indicators (KRIs), and risk appetite statements.
• Conduct in-depth reviews and present data-led insights to the Operational Risk Committee, focusing on predictive trends.
• Promote a strong risk culture across the organization, making risk meaningful and relevant to all teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Fintech or Banking with a deep understanding of payment services and operational controls.
• Strong knowledge of global Operational Resilience standards.
• High level of data fluency with the ability to perform data-driven problem solving and extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
• Regulatory acumen with familiarity with global drivers such as the FCA and PRA.
• Ability to manage stakeholders effectively, providing both support and robust challenge to senior leaders.
• Technical curiosity and an ability to understand technology and security risks within a tech-led environment.
