Operational Requirements Analyst

Responsibilities

• Support the US Space Force (USSF) Headquarters Staff and the Directorate of Space Requirements
• Interface with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)
• Participate in the Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) process, including attending Functional and Joint Capabilities Boards
• Review and assess capability development products such as ICDs, CDDs, and Space Force Requirements Documents
• Advise senior leadership on planning and coordinating capability development process actions
• Synthesize data analytics to provide feedback on capability development artifacts for various programs

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• 5+ years of applicable experience in Service, COCOM, and/or Joint Capabilities development
• Demonstrated knowledge of DoD requirements, acquisition, and budgeting processes
• Deep understanding of JCIDS and JROC processes
• Experience supporting Service HQ, DoD Agency, or Intelligence Community staffs

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, STEM, or Operational Research
• 10+ years of experience in defense space operations, engineering, or policy
• Previous experience with HQ AF/SAF staff within the last 3 years
• Proficiency with staffing tools such as Task Management Tool (TMT) and Knowledge Management/Decision Support (KM/DS)
• Familiarity with space system acquisitions and Pentagon operations
• Experience utilizing AI for administrative documentation and reporting
