Operational Readiness and Assurance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead operational readiness planning across key project milestones to ensure a smooth transition from construction and commissioning to business as usual.
• Work closely with delivery and operations teams to manage systems integration, documentation, training, and readiness reporting.
• Identify and mitigate risks early in the project lifecycle to create a seamless pathway to operational performance.
• Connect people, processes, systems, and documentation to ensure new renewable energy assets are set up for long-term success.

Requirements

• Relevant technical qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in operations, maintenance, production, or a similar technical environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across different teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A genuine commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in EPC or design-build environments.
• Knowledge of asset management best practices.
• Familiarity with the New Zealand Electricity Market and Energy Safety Rules.
