Operational Excellence (OPEX) Leader - Production

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives to deliver sustainable financial savings.
• Optimize solid-dose bottle and blister packaging operations, focusing on OEE, throughput, and waste reduction.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies such as Lean, TPS, and root cause analysis to manufacturing losses.
• Support the development of the site Long Range Plan (LRP) and manage OEE metric governance.
• Coach and mentor team members on OPEX methodologies and continuous improvement mindsets.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and ensure improvements are sustained through standard work and visual management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure compliant and scalable improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences).
• 5+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in solid-dose pharmaceutical packaging (bottle filling and blister operations).
• Strong knowledge of cGMP regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, PowerBI, and Microsoft Office (Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a dedicated Lean or Operational Excellence role.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience in high-speed consumer packaging environments (food or beverage).
