Operational Excellence (OPEX) Leader - Packaging

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives to deliver sustainable financial savings.
• Optimize solid-dose bottle and blister packaging, focusing on OEE, throughput, and waste elimination.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies like Lean and root cause analysis to address manufacturing losses.
• Partner with site leadership to achieve quarterly and annual savings targets.
• Coach and mentor team members on OPEX methodologies and continuous improvement mindsets.
• Support the development of site Long Range Plans and manage OEE metric governance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure compliant and scalable improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Industrial, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences).
• 5+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience in a Lean or Operational Excellence role.
• Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Hands-on experience with bottle filling and blister packaging operations.
• Experience with PowerBI, QMS, and automated OEE systems.
• Experience in high-speed consumer packaging environments (food or beverage).
