Operational Accountant

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Operational Finance function across two factory product ranges
• Generate and maintain accurate cost analysis to support the Senior Operational Accountant and wider business
• Assist with departmental planning, forecasting cycles, and operational variance analysis
• Perform site cost analysis, sales and inventory reporting, and backlog reporting
• Support month-end close processes, including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements and internal/external audits
• Support the Engineering Change Orders (ECO) process and review of BOMs and routings
• Oversee the Perpetual Inventory team and collaborate cross-functionally with various stakeholders

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify priorities
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information to diverse stakeholders
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
• Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing finance, including costing, inventory, and margin analysis
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Proficiency with Power BI
