Operation Superintendent West

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of drivers with a hands-on leadership approach
• Ensure compliance with Transport Canada, Health Canada, and company policies
• Manage daily employee activities and introduce best practices
• Coordinate deliveries with Scheduling and Customer Service teams
• Monitor safety performance and address risks or incidents promptly
• Provide accurate reporting on inventories, expenses, maintenance, and performance metrics
• Coordinate quality and safety training and maintain personnel records
• Identify process improvements for schedules and training
• Manage equipment and vehicle issues and escalate as needed
• Optimize routes and maintain trucks in collaboration with the National Distribution Team

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Over 5 years of experience managing distribution fleets or routes
• At least 2 years of experience managing and developing employees
• Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Transport Canada regulations
• Proficiency with tools such as Roadnet, Accustar, JD Edwards, Excel, and Microsoft Office
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working or managing in a union environment
