About the role
Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of the central boiler plant
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems across various campus buildings
- Support the monitoring and control of building utility services to ensure a safe environment
- Complete approximately 6 months of training in the steam plant and 6 months in building operations
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of all TSSA exams for a Fourth (4th) Class Operating Engineer Certification (proof required)
- Above-average mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in English (oral and written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and basic keyboarding skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic electrical knowledge
