Operating Engineer

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical systems including heat, air-conditioning, refrigeration, steam, high-temperature water, or electricity
• Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts to ensure system demand is met
• Record operational logs and maintain engines, machinery, and equipment in good working order
• Direct and coordinate the activities of other workers performing tasks related to system maintenance
• Repair electronic control equipment used in the production of electricity, steam, or climate control

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• MD stationary engineer license level 1 or DC stationary engineer level 3
• U.S. Citizenship
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
• Skill in repairing electronic control equipment
• Ability to lift 45 lbs
