About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform necessary handling to prepare vehicle carcasses
- Drive and maneuver a loader
- Operate the press to crush vehicles
- Load crushed vehicles into trucks
- Maintain records and complete daily activity reports
- Work safely and respect SST policies and company procedures
- Comply with the Highway Safety Code
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of company equipment
- Perform pre-use inspections on all equipment
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- One year of experience operating heavy machinery
- Good knowledge of the Highway Safety Code
- Autonomous and resourceful
- Organized, responsible, and courteous
- Vigilant with strong environmental analysis skills
- Customer service aptitude
Preferred Qualifications
- DEP in construction equipment operation
- Class 1 driver's license
