About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide full-time patient care (minimum 40 hours per week) at the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System
- Manage six half-day adult sleep medicine clinics and interpret associated sleep studies
- Serve a medically underserved and diverse patient population
- Teach, train, and advise medical students, residents, and fellows in Internal Medicine, Sleep Medicine, and Pulmonary & Critical Care
- Conduct medical science or medical education research with mentorship
- Assist with curriculum development and perform university administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
- Medical degree or foreign equivalent
- Three years of Internal Medicine residency training
- One year of Sleep fellowship training completed in the United States
- Valid Illinois medical license or eligibility for an Illinois medical license
Preferred Qualifications
- Pulmonary & Critical Care fellowship training
