Open Rank Faculty (Immunology)

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the medical school curriculum, specifically in immunology and pathobiology.
• Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction using interactive case-based sessions, small-group learning facilitation, and active learning formats.
• Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to support student learning and progression.
• Collaborate with faculty colleagues to integrate basic science with clinical education.
• Participate in college and university committees and engage in state or national professional organizations.
• Engage in educational or biomedical research and disseminate findings through presentations and peer-reviewed publications.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DO, or equivalent) in immunology, pathology, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the medical school or graduate level.
• Experience or a strong interest in curriculum development, innovation, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certification (if the candidate is a clinician).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to support collaborative work with administrators, faculty, and students.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet evolving educational needs and technologies.
• A record of scholarly productivity in research or educational scholarship.
• Commitment to building a humanistic culture and fostering student success.
