Open end Fund Accounting (CLO), Assistant Vice President

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and guidance for Oaktree’s Senior Loan strategy, including CLOs, open-end funds, and risk retention vehicles.
• Review and approve monthly and quarterly close processes, including pricing, management fee calculations, and expense accruals.
• Monitor daily cash and position reconciliations and coordinate issue resolution with custodians and administrators.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements in compliance with U.S./U.K. GAAP, IFRS, and investment company accounting rules.
• Coordinate regulatory filings such as AIFMD Annex IV, Form PF, ADV reporting, and tax filings.
• Supervise annual financial statement audits and provide guidance to external auditors.
• Manage client fund activity, including income/expense allocations, distribution waterfalls, and cash forecasting.
• Oversee the work of third-party administrators and custodians to ensure accuracy and quality control.

Requirements

• Minimum 12+ years of relevant accounting or audit experience within Big Four public accounting or investment management.
• Strong knowledge of reconciliation, account analysis, and investment company accounting rules.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Proven ability to oversee and review complex processes and deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Experience with CLO lifecycles, including warehouse phases, waterfall schedules, and priority of payments.
• Familiarity with Geneva or Geneva World Investor accounting systems.
• Experience with data analytical tools such as PowerBI or Alteryx.
