About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate mix room pasteurizer and chocolate equipment according to recipes and work orders
- Perform safety checks on equipment and ensure all safety devices, E-Stops, and guards are operational
- Monitor production processes, take samples for lab testing, and perform quality checks
- Use computer controls to pump bulk liquid ingredients and formulate batches
- Document production runs, enter data into databases (SAP/Globe), and complete batch sheets
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following GMP and hygiene standards
- Complete CIP (Clean-in-Place) cycles and perform general housekeeping at the end of shifts
- Communicate effectively during shift hand-offs to resolve production issues
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Aptitude for automated mechanical processes
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Proficiency in math and problem-solving
- Ability to work multiple shifts and varying schedules
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced, wet, or cold environment
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of related manufacturing or food production experience
