Onsite Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Maintain integrity of computer workstations and associated software
• Act as the main point of contact for employee computer issues
• Monitor and improve desktop infrastructure performance and efficiency
• Resolve software, hardware, and device issues reported by end users
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and software
• Support standard technologies including Exchange and Active Directory
• Troubleshoot network elements including ISP circuits, firewalls, switches, and wireless equipment
• Implement and support remote access solutions (VPN)
• Manage mobility fleet including voice/data subscriptions and mobile devices
• Manage fixed-line voice and data infrastructure (IP-PBX, desk phones)
• Document local client environments and oversee asset tracking
• Advise and train staff on computer operations and software

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Information Technology trends, products, and solutions
• Experience in IT Service Desk, Desktop Support, or 2nd line technical support
• Customer-focused with strong communication and negotiation skills
• Fluent in English and native or near-native in French
• Ability to travel when required
• Must provide a criminal record extract not older than three months
