Onsite Instructor, Prelicensure Clinical

Responsibilities

• Mentor and teach nursing students during experiential clinical coursework in an onsite environment.
• Serve as a professional role model, providing expertise in assigned clinical content areas.
• Oversee clinical learning and ensure student success within their clinical placement settings.
• Provide final review and approval for student clinical time and submit electronic evaluations.
• Communicate student progress and concerns to assigned coaches and preceptors.
• Utilize technology-based teaching and communication platforms to support competency development.
• Maintain compliance with relevant state regulations and university policies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing (Education must be verified).
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Unencumbered RN license.
• Active, unencumbered license in the designated state.
• Availability for weekday 3-week clinical rotations in the Austin, TX region.
• Flexible availability for overnight shifts (7:00 pm - 7:00 am) as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate or terminal degree in a specific content area.
• Prior experience in clinical teaching or nursing education.
• Experience with distance education and supporting distance learning students.
