Onsite Instructor, Prelicensure Clinical

Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor nursing students during experiential clinical coursework in an onsite/remote environment
• Serve as a professional role model in communication, ethical comportment, and problem-solving
• Provide subject matter expertise and specialized instruction on challenging clinical tasks
• Oversee clinical learning and ensure student success within their clinical placement settings
• Communicate student progress and concerns to assigned coaches and preceptors
• Conduct both in-person and remote methods of student evaluation
• Review and approve student clinical time and submit electronic evaluation forms
• Utilize technology-based teaching and communication platforms to support competency development

Requirements

• MSN degree (Master of Science in Nursing)
• Current, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of two years of relevant professional nursing experience
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in nursing content or practice areas
• Ability to work onsite in the Indianapolis, IN region (2-3 days per week, approximately 24 hours total)

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate or terminal degree in a specific nursing content area
• Prior experience in clinical teaching or nursing education
• Experience working with distance education and distance learning students
