Onsite Instructor, Prelicensure Clinical

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert teaching and mentoring nursing students during experiential clinical coursework.
• Provide specialized instruction and oversight to ensure student success within clinical placement settings.
• Act as a professional role model in communication, ethical comportment, and problem-solving.
• Utilize technology-based teaching and communication platforms to aid student competency development.
• Conduct both in-person and remote methods of student evaluation and submit electronic clinical evaluation forms.
• Collaborate with assigned coaches, preceptors, and university professionals to support student progress.
• Maintain a working knowledge of relevant state regulations and university policies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing (education must be verified).
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Unencumbered RN license.
• Active, unencumbered license in the designated state.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines under stress.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate or terminal degree in a specific content area.
• Prior experience in clinical teaching or nursing education.
• Strong experience with distance education and supporting distance learning students.
