Onsite Instructor, Prelicensure Clinical

Responsibilities

• Mentor nursing students during experiential clinical coursework and oversee learning within clinical placement settings
• Serve as a professional role model in communication, ethical comportment, and problem-solving
• Provide expertise in assigned content areas and maintain current knowledge in the field
• Foster student learning through innovative teaching practices and technology-based platforms
• Conduct both in-person and remote methods of student evaluation
• Communicate student progress and concerns to assigned coaches and preceptors
• Review and approve student clinical time and submit electronic evaluation forms

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience
• Unencumbered RN license
• Active, unencumbered license in the designated state
• Ability to travel to local health facilities within the Minneapolis, MN region

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate or terminal degree in a specific content area
• Prior experience in clinical teaching or nursing education
• Experience with distance education and distance learning students
