Onsite Instructor, Prelicensure Clinical

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to nursing students during experiential clinical coursework.
• Provide specialized instruction and oversight to ensure student success within clinical placement settings.
• Act as a professional role model in communication, ethical comportment, and problem-solving.
• Conduct both in-person and remote student evaluations and provide final approval for clinical time.
• Communicate proactively with students, coaches, and preceptors regarding progress and concerns.
• Utilize technology-based teaching and communication platforms to support competency development.
• Maintain current knowledge in the nursing field and adhere to relevant state regulations.

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing (education must be verified).
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Unencumbered RN license.
• Active, unencumbered license in the designated state.
• Ability to work onsite in the Kansas City, MO region.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate or terminal degree in a specific content area.
• Prior experience in clinical teaching or nursing education.
• Experience with distance education and supporting distance learning students.
