Onsite Instructor Prelicensure Clinical

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert teaching and mentoring nursing students during experiential clinical coursework in an onsite capacity.
• Act as a professional role model for students in communication, ethical comportment, and problem-solving.
• Foster student learning through innovative teaching practices and specialized instruction in clinical settings.
• Provide final review and approval for student clinical time and submit electronic evaluation forms.
• Communicate proactively with students, coaches, and preceptors regarding student progress and concerns.
• Maintain a working knowledge of relevant state regulations and university policies.
• Conduct both in-person and remote methods of student evaluation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing (Education must be verified).
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Unencumbered RN license.
• Active, unencumbered license in the designated state.
• Ability to work onsite in Knoxville, TN.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate or terminal degree in a specific content area.
• Prior experience in clinical teaching or nursing education.
• Strong experience with distance education and supporting distance learning students.
