Onsite Instructor, Learning Lab

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student learning and performance assessments in on-site Clinical Learning Labs using high-fidelity simulation.
• Serve as a professional role model for students in communication, problem-solving, and patient advocacy.
• Use evidence-based tools to evaluate clinical learning and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Assist students with the application of clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the nursing process.
• Promote and maintain a safe learning environment during simulated patient care scenarios.
• Collaborate with Lab Faculty to manage lab operations, supply inventory, and staff scheduling.
• Support quality improvement initiatives related to faculty and student satisfaction.

Requirements

• MSN degree (contingent on State Board of Nursing regulations).
• 2+ years of professional nursing work experience.
• Active and unencumbered RN License in the State of Utah.
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in assigned clinical content or practice areas.
• Ability to work on-site in Salt Lake City, UT, 5 days per week (Monday - Friday).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in simulation-based education.
• Strong experience with distance education and supporting distance learning students.
• Experience working with integrated technology systems and tools.
