Online Writer and Community Manager

Responsibilities

• Facilitate active communication and engagement among members by moderating LinkedIn Groups and ensuring adherence to community guidelines.
• Develop, write, and curate high-quality content tailored to alumni interests, including posts, articles, and multimedia content.
• Plan and execute a structured content calendar aligned with key EU priorities and network activities.
• Draft articles, conduct interviews with alumni and stakeholders, and edit submissions for magazine editions.
• Prepare, edit, and distribute newsletters using EC Newsroom to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Track and analyze growth, engagement, and impact metrics for LinkedIn and newsletters to provide periodic reports.
• Promote the EU Alumni network to attract new members and engage EU staff across Headquarters and Delegations.

Requirements

• Degree in communication, journalism, digital media, political science, public policy, or a related field.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English.
• Proven experience in social media management and community engagement, specifically with LinkedIn.
• Experience in content creation, editorial planning, and newsletter production.
• Analytical mindset with experience in monitoring and reporting performance metrics.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse, multicultural audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of or interest in EU affairs, international cooperation, or alumni networks.
• Proficiency in additional EU languages.
• Experience using EC Newsroom or similar newsletter platforms.
