Oncology Vet Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality specialist patient care within the oncology department
• Deliver consistent clinical excellence even in fast-paced, busy conditions
• Work collaboratively with oncology specialists, clinicians, and senior nursing staff
• Manage diverse cases with a focus on compassion and professional standards
• Maintain efficient workflows through strong multi-tasking and time management

Requirements

• Certificate IV in veterinary nursing and/or BAppSc (Veterinary Technology) degree or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of nursing experience in a busy general practice, referral, or emergency setting
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain organized and adaptable in a high-pressure environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma of Veterinary Nursing or equivalent advanced training
• Sound knowledge of anaesthetic monitoring and oncology-specific patient care
• Experience working in an emergency or specialist hospital environment
• Proficiency with RX works, Smartflow, and Idexx blood machines
