About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the international medical strategy for Pfizer’s Oncology portfolio across the full product lifecycle.
- Translate clinical, translational, and real-world evidence into strategic implications for patient outcomes and value communication.
- Lead a team of international medical scientific experts to ensure consistent data interpretation and scientific narrative across regions.
- Engage with international oncology experts, including academics and clinicians, to inform strategy and improve patient care.
- Oversee international evidence generation strategies, including Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR) and observational studies.
- Partner with cross-functional leadership in Clinical Development, Commercial, and Access to align medical objectives with global business goals.
- Drive the adoption of digital and AI-enabled tools to enhance medical insight generation and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent).
- Specialty training in Oncology or Hematology-Oncology.
- 9+ years of relevant work experience with deep exposure to oncology clinical or translational science.
- Proven experience leading global product launches and managing complex, matrixed teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in translational and clinical oncology evidence generation and interpretation.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to navigate complex, ambiguous environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience engaging with global health authorities and senior executive-level external experts.
- Proficiency in using data literacy and AI tools to interpret complex oncology datasets.
- Experience managing product strategy from late-stage development through post-approval optimization.
