About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a specialized team of specialists in Statistics, Programming, and Information Practice to deliver AI solutions.
- Define and implement the AI vision for Oncology Biometrics to accelerate analysis, reporting, and data insights.
- Oversee AI projects to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and scientific rigor.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional collaboration with R&D IT and Oncology Data Science teams.
- Enforce ethical AI practices, data governance, and compliance with clinical data standards and privacy regulations.
- Foster a culture of innovation by upskilling team members in data science methodologies and specialized analytical tools.
- Manage resource allocation and budget planning to ensure optimal project delivery and strategic investment in AI.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of extensive experience in biometrics teams within Oncology clinical development.
- Proficiency in statistical programming languages including SAS, R, or Python.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks, ideally agentic AI frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of clinical data standards and process workflows.
- Proven leadership experience in managing high-performing teams within a global, matrixed environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex AI concepts for clinicians and regulatory bodies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with genomics/omics platforms or imaging analytics.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing Oncology-focused data or AI strategies.
- Strong change leadership and influencing skills.
