On-site Instructor, Prelicensure Clinical

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to nursing students during experiential clinical coursework.
• Provide specialized instruction and oversight within clinical placement settings to ensure student success.
• Act as a professional role model in communication, ethical comportment, and problem-solving.
• Facilitate student learning through innovative teaching practices in both group and one-on-one settings.
• Communicate student progress and concerns to assigned coaches and preceptors.
• Conduct in-person and remote student evaluations and provide final approval for clinical time.
• Maintain current knowledge in the nursing field and adhere to relevant state regulations.

Requirements

• Master's degree in nursing (verified).
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Unencumbered RN license.
• Active, unencumbered license in the designated state (Nevada).
• Ability to work on-site within the Elko, NV region.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate or terminal degree in a specific content area.
• Prior experience in clinical teaching or nursing education.
• Experience with distance education and supporting distance learning students.
