About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage mutually beneficial relationships with bar suppliers, secondary wholesalers, and on-premise outlets such as restaurants, nightclubs, and hotels.
  • Develop, negotiate, and execute customer plans including discount/rebate terms, promotional programs, and point-of-sale visibility.
  • Acquire new accounts and maintain strong daily relationships with priority customers to drive sales growth.
  • Coordinate staff training, tasting events, and presentations for account managers and owners.
  • Manage diverse customer accounts, provide accurate demand forecasting, and monitor the effectiveness of promotional programs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Planning and Trade Marketing departments to share business insights and performance data.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in sales or marketing.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain sales results clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple business goals and prioritize tasks to meet specific deadlines.
  • Strong conflict management skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player.
  • High level of integrity and a results-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the alcohol industry, specifically with premium or super-premium imported spirits.
  • Knowledge of transaction margins and rebates within the wholesale and retail sectors.
  • Previous on-premise sales or marketing experience within the Japanese food and beverage industry.
  • Experience working for foreign-capital companies (particularly US or European firms).
  • Proficiency in English.
