On Call Theater Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist the Theater Services Department in staging performances, lectures, and film screenings
• Perform miscellaneous stagehand duties including assistance with sets, lighting, sound, video, rigging, and wardrobe
• Provide work direction to student workers as necessary
• Follow and enforce all department safety standards

Requirements

• Technical theater experience providing the knowledge necessary to perform production duties
• Knowledge of carpentry, welding, rigging, and electrical wiring
• Ability to carry 50lbs safely
• Ability to set up and climb ladders to at least 16ft
• Availability to work nights and weekends as required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with various members of the college and community
