On-Call Residential Aide

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and visitors
• Monitor facility access by screening incoming visitors and verifying identification
• Conduct hourly tours of the facility and monthly apartment inspections
• Respond to security emergencies and monitor fire safety alarm panels
• Distribute information to residents regarding program rules and regulations
• Maintain an accurate logbook of facility activities and prepare incident reports
• Provide conflict resolution and ensure compliance with safety policies
• Perform basic facility upkeep, such as sweeping entry areas, in the absence of maintenance staff

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• CPR and First Aid certification (or eligibility to obtain)
• Ability to obtain F-02 and F-80 certifications within three months of hire
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills
• Ability to remain calm during crisis situations
• Availability to work on-call shifts (12am-8am, 8am-4pm, or 4pm-12am) including weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior security or law enforcement experience
• Previous experience working in a shelter setting with families
• Ability to speak Spanish
