About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain furniture, equipment, and spaces in top condition
- Enforce building policies, safety guidelines, and emergency plans
- Set up and break down event spaces
- Assist the events department with waste management and item transport
- Communicate clearly and maintain professionalism with staff and guests
Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Capacity to stand for extended periods and walk up to seven flights of stairs
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds (up to 75 pounds occasionally)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must obtain FDNY F-03 certification within 60 days of start
- Must embrace Redeemer West Side’s vision and Gospel-oriented heart for NYC
